MinxOnMax Going Deeper - Season 1 Episode 10

Here we go, the season finale of the first season of Minx.  We open with the spiciest Jalapeno Handy that Zack and Jenny have ever encountered.  Zack commits to developing the Jalapeno Handy drink for next season's opener, probably with tequila.  
Joyce is back from her time in New York to see what the gang has been up to while she was away.  Have you ever taken a week's vacation and came back to work to find everything in complete disarray?  The creepy MEN organization with Willy and Franco is coming for the Bottom Dollar crew.
We get to see Richie make a stand.  Tina faces some uncertain choices.  We find out Bambie was more involved with the Manson family than we have been led to believe.  Joyce and Doug must decide to collaborate and build something great, or let their work fizzle.  They each make a choice.

MinxOnMax Going Deeper - Season 1 Episode 9

Joyce is off in New York and Doug is holding down the fort at Bottom Dollar.  Are either of them capable on their own.  Richie finally realizes what he is worth to the team.  Bambie helps Shelly rediscover her mojo.  We also get to see plenty more of the GOAT that we intended.  Guys, the season is coming to a climax, hold on and give us a listen as we break it down and react.

MinxOnMax - Going Deeper - Season1 Episode 8

Yup, you read it right in the title, this is getting a second season.  Join Zack and Jenny as we are quarantined for Covid-19 and watching our favorite new show.  
Joyce goes on the Dick Cavett show to promote Minx while the gang gathers back home to watch.  We learn through a series of flashbacks that Manhattan has both joys and sorrows for Joyce, and both come back big time.  Tina has the saddest dumping out of cheese ever.
Distractions include trying to name quarterbacks in American Football, Ross and Rachel's break from Friends, the last names of Mystery Inc., and Archer.  Jenny completely no sells Zack's joke about "Dick" and Zack misses a golden opportunity to make a double entendre when we talk about taking one's ball and going home.

MinxOnMax Going Deeper - Episode 7

God save the Queen of D###s!  Is there anything more to be said about this episode?
Joyce starts in a funk and finally stops Joycing it up and starts to embrace the new image of her voice.  Doug is winning, but is he starting to feel left out.  Tina gets to admit she was right, but also has to admit others are as well.  Bambie pushes Richie into social situations that trigger Zack's introverted, type 5, socially anxious fear of parties that are already going on when you arrive.  Shelly has taken a step back into her normal world, but the wacky world of Bottom Dollar has a knack for sneaking back into your life.
Plus the hosts engage in a lively debate as to whether Glenn was right.  
Strap in and come along with us as we watch along with our favorite new show in years.  Help get the buzz going.  This is dropping a couple days late, but because of that we know that Season 2 is on it's way!

Welcome back to everyone's favorite show about dongs and lady opinions.  This week, the mob gets involved.  Join your hosts as we discuss wayward snakes and David vs Goliath.  Doug gets to be very Doug-like in a crowded room of mobsters, while Joyce finds comradery in an unexpected place.  The Minx crew gets to shine doing a photoshoot without Joyce looking over their shoulders, and Tina has stop the riot that it causes.

MinxOnMax - Going Deeper - 4

Welcome back to everyone's favorite show about dongs and lady opinions.  In this Shane centered episode we get to see Joyce go a little power hungry and then realize that her decisions have consequences.  We once again see how this ragtag team that Doug has assembled really possesses the talent to get some things done.
The issue is designed, not it is time to print and sell the darn thing.  Look out, Glenn is in the audience for the press conference.
Also, Doug bets big, like really big that Joyce's point of view will resonate.

MinxOnMax Going Deeper - Episode 3

This week things start to get scandalous.  We get raided by the feds and have to go up against local politicians.  Joyce has to learn to accept help from people she does not recognize as having a valid voice.  Doug is once again some how the moral compass of the whole thing.  We also learn (maybe confirm) that Tina knows people and is not to be f'd with.  
The 70s cocktail of the week is the Rusty Nail.  It is a fun mix of scotch and liqueurs that tastes like something a bit more nuanced than orange juice + booze.  We also get distracted by our porn names.  We used the FirstPet StreetName calculation and both came up with pretty good ones, but also don't want to pigeon hole you.  If you have a better formula, go for it.  Make sure to send it to us on all the socials.

Join the hosts of the Forbidden Cinema Podcast as we branch off in an entirely new direction.  We are a married couple who have known each other since we are teenagers in a very conservative church and have spent the last year podcasting about movies our parent's wouldn't let us watch and Zack has been elbows deep in explicit print journalism from the 70s, 80s, and beyond.  In the midst of all of this, HBO Max releases a new show about a new erotic magazine from women in the 70s... and it has Nick Miller in it.
We are there.  We watched the first episode and are hooked.  We are so hooked we are launching an entire spin off podcast to watch along with the series as it airs.
